Perks from couponing

My free couch and loveseat.  I love couponing  :-)

Rite Aid 4/30/2011

 I'm off to Wal-Mart to get my $5 back from a missed coupon.  Will finish this later today.

I will say the best deal in this picture is the Norelco Men's grooming set.  Shelf price $19.99 minus $4.00 (20% discount) - $13 +Ups plus tax $.91....Final cost was $.90 and I received a $10 +UP...so it cost me $3 in +Ups and $.90 out of pocket.   Limit 4 per card

Wal-mart 4/30/2011

I went to Wal-mart this morning to test out their new coupon policy.  I also wanted to test their ad matching guarantee.  It actually went better then I expected.

Read your coupons before you use them to make sure you are using them correctly.  I had originally planned to buy 10 bottles of Similac, use 10 $5 Similac coupons, and use my overage to get a bag of birdseed.  I looked at the Similac coupon and it said "Limit one coupon per transaction".  A transaction is your entire order, from ringing up the first item, to paying the amount you owe.  So I ended up splitting my purchases (each item is a separate purchase) into 10 separate transactions.  This all worked out in the end because I had actually started in the garden center and my cart was full of discounted plants, 12 to be exact.

Oh, I actually had to go back through the checkout a second time because I didn't have room in my first cart for the Propel free water.  My transactions are below the pictures.

I did this transaction 7 times...I'm actually getting ready to run back to Wal-Mart because I just noticed one of the coupons isn't showing up on the receipt so I was over charged $5.  Even though I was standing there watching her ring everything up for some reason it isn't showing the coupon.

They were marked down to $.50.  The $.50 display in the back of the store by the others waters was EMPTY.  I actually found these up by the registers.  They still had the $1 tag so I priced checked one to make sure they were $.50.  22 free bottles of water for $.11.  Yeah!!!

Rite Aid 4/12/2011

I bought 94 packs of cough drops.  I'm sure your asking "WHY?"  My answer: I had 2-$20 Gift of Savings the were due to expire on April 30th and I was hopping to roll them.  What I mean is I wanted to buy something with them and come home with the same amount in +Ups.  I actually came home with more than $40 in +Ups.

I did a trial order to see if they were producing  +Ups:

  $1.00 - 2 packs of cough drops (2/$1)
  $  .07   tax
  $1.07
-$1.00
  $  .07
Receive $1 +Ups  (buy 2, get $1 +Ups)

I did the following scenario twice:

$23.00  - 46 packs of cough drops (2/$1)
-$20.00 GOS (I didn't pay tax because this took the tax away-I still can't figure out how that happens)
-$ 3.00  $3/$15 Rite Aid Survey coupon
 $    .00
I received $23 in +Ups

I spent $41 in GOS and +Ups and I brought home $47 in +Ups.  So I made money on these transactions.

I will be giving the majority of the cough drops away.
